Summary:
The Quality Systems Coordinator is responsible for providing a comprehensive and efficient administrative service to the St Louis, MO Quality team. The focus of the role is on accuracy and speed to ensure that a quality and professional service is delivered to all internal and external interfaces at all time.
Essential Functions:
Set and maintain high standards and accuracy of work covering all administrative provision for the Quality Department operating at the St Louis Serve as the acting GFSI expert for the facility. Partner with other departments to ensure compliance to regulatory and GFSI requirements; follow up to ensure identified non-conformances are adequately investigated and closed out. Provide training to plant departments on GFSI standards and regulations Assist with customer complaint investigations as needed; provide trending on customer complaints and areas for improvement in the facility Manage and order lab supplies including reagents, water treatment and micro. Provide general administrative support to QA team to achieve department’s goals. Maintain SQF document control including SOPs, policies, forms, internal audits and corrective actions. Monitor adherence to SOPs and cGMPs; develop and implement work instructions and train employees to follow as required Facilitate Management review meetings to ensure SQF program is reviewed and updated by leadership yearly. Organize and arrange Food Safety/ HACCP reviews annually and before process changes. Communicate Quality data and update Quality specifications for Co-pack produced products. Daily verification of Quality Control and Assurance data. Manage ingredient and reagent COAs, i.e. organic certificates. Compiling and inputting Quality KPI’s. Assist in compiling Plant Dashboard and data. Assist with the process improvement for improving SQF and quality SOP’s for the facility. Responsible for ensuring Food Safety and Food Quality policies and procedures are adhered to. Serve as “go to” person in the absence of the QA Supervisor. Assist with auditing the plant for GMP’s and SOP compliance providing overview reports which leadership can action Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. As a secondary responsibility: Assist and work closely with plant safety team and management teams with various safety responsibilities such as, but not limited to, organizing/facilitating safety committee meetings, tracking safety metrics for reporting and compliance completion, scheduling/delivering/implementation of safety training programs.Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Science, Quality or related discipline Knowledge of food safety programs and systems: GFSI training, SQF practitioner, and HACCP certification; PCQI training preferred Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality within a manufacturing environment, preferably food/beverage industry Related discipline, licensure, or certification as it relates to industry safety Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentRequired Skills and Competencies:
Experience in Food/ Beverage Manufacturing preferred Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP and Power Point Ability to analyze and solve problems, results oriented Organized and detail oriented, adaptable to change Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written Understanding of Occupational Safety and Health regulations (OSHA) Ability to work individually and as part of a teamWorking Conditions:
Physical: Continuously standing or walking. Regular requirements to lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight. Visual/Sensory: This position requires the regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time. Work environment: Work and environment are very repetitive.
