Quality Systems Project Employee
**This is a part-time project position, 20 hours per week. The anticipated duration is 6 to 8 months. JOB OBJECTIVE: Assists the Quality Assurance team in maintaining compliance with key quality system processes and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. CORE DUTIES: 1. Performs project assignments to support the quality organization. 2. Supports and drives improvement projects. 3. Conducts Document Control duties, including: • Organizing, scanning, and filing records. • Assisting in document control administration. • Creating and maintaining procedures, forms, electronic systems, and records necessary for the quality system. 4. Conducts Supplier Quality duties, including: • Authoring supplier change evaluation records. • Authoring supplier approval records. • Maintaining supplier files. 5. Maintains training records for all employees under the Quality System umbrella, including training plans, course descriptions, course content, attendance records, training requirements, metrics, completion records, training deficiencies, certificates, and other required documentation. 6. Modifies and creates procedures, forms, and records necessary for the quality system. 7. Assists in creating metrics applicable to review processes and report results and suggestions to management or other stakeholders. 8. Completes actions assigned from audits, deviations, changes, nonconformances, etc. 9. Represents Quality Systems in special projects as assigned. 10. Collaborates with Quality Systems and other business leaders on urgent or critical activities or corrective actions needed for the business. 11. Understands and complies with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Associate or Bachelor's degree, or proven work experience that ensures you are ready to be successful in this role. 2. Minimum one year of experience in document control coordination, processing, or record retention. 3. High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. 4. Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 5. Strong desire to learn new skills and participate in continuous improvement projects. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Independent self-starter with proven results. 2. Ability to work and communicate effectively with other key groups to achieve improvement and operational results. 3. Experience in Quality Assurance with an understanding of Quality System processes. 4. Good oral and written communication skills. 5. Experience with SAP and/or EtQ software. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 1. Ability to use a computer and office tools/equipment. 2. Ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods. 3. Ability to occasionally move objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
