Job Description:

Join us as a Quality Technician in our Moorpark, CA facility. 

You will perform quality-related activities in support of Operations.

The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is: $17.88 - $33.22. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be determined by considering demonstrable level of experience, skills, knowledge, and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

Ensure compliance to product, process and systems requirements and report non-conformancesConduct failure analysis of product returns and line rejectsInitiate and close Product Non-conformance Reports (PNRs), including management of non-conforming product inventoryCreate and modify Critical to Quality (CTQ) documentsUpdate and post First Pass Yield (FPY) spreadsheets and Pareto charts, including submission of monthly reportsUnderstand and apply basic metrology techniques using hand tools, gages and fixturesPerform inspection activities on parts/components manufactured by internal and/or external suppliersUpdate Cell Countermeasure boards for quality-related items

Position hours/shifts: 

2nd shift: starting time 2:00PMAbility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.In order to accommodate the needs of our business, it may be necessary to change individual work schedules on either a short-term or long-term basis.   

QUALIFICATIONS

Team playerExcellent problem-solving skillsGood oral and written communicationsComputer literacy: able to create and modify basic procedures, spreadsheets and graphs in Microsoft Word and ExcelFlexibility to work off-shift hours, including weekends

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High School DiplomaThree years related manufacturing experienceTwo years as a Quality Technician or equivalent, a plusAble to apply basic metrology methodologies, including the use of hand tools, gages and fixturesKnowledge of Quality Management Systems, a plusFamiliar with ASME Y14.5 (GD&T), a plusBasic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) a plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Able to communicate effectively in the English and Spanish languages.

Physical Requirements: 

Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 30lbs. Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor.
