Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technical Supervisor to oversee quality assurance processes, supervise production floor activities, and execute testing and quality initiatives. This role involves ensuring compliance with production standards, managing nonconforming materials, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
ResponsibilitiesDocument processes including procedures, process maps, and job aids.Contribute to QA reporting such as management reviews, quality alerts, test records, and 8D reports.Report to the Quality Systems Manager regarding audits, metrics (KPI), and approval processes.Control continuous improvements (KVP, KVS, 5S, etc.) on the production floor.Support responsible departments in fulfilling QA requirements by participating in supplier evaluations and audits.Supervise production floor activities and oversee inspection activities of the Kanban Production Line.Own the process for managing and evaluating nonconforming material (MRB, DMR, OOBF, etc.).Ensure production standards (ESD, 5S, lean, etc.) are maintained according to relevant job aids.Ensure the Quality team maintains appropriate QA test plans and results in an organized fashion.Delegate inspection of S&B products to Quality Personnel (incoming, in-process, and final) prior to field deployment.Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.Initiate and support root cause analysis of high-priority returned items, Out-Of-Box-Failures, and corporate initiatives.Lead the Quality team in troubleshooting and testing of serial production.Perform field and vendor visits to investigate repetitive failure claims or low-quality performance.Provide detailed reports of root cause analysis and recommended corrective actions based on quality reporting, customer complaints, or management requests.Maintain and support corrective and preventive actions, including appropriate documentation.Essential SkillsTroubleshootingElectrical engineeringQuality engineeringRoot cause analysis (RCA)Hands-on work with equipment and problem-solvingKnowledge of ISO 9001Experience with SAP (System Applications and Products)BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or another technical disciplineMinimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant fieldExperience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environmentASQC CQE CertificationAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in manufacturing engineeringProcess engineeringHardware and electromechanical devicesElectromechanical engineeringTest plan developmentTest requirements and reportingData analysis8D methodologyContinuous improvement and process improvementWork Environment
You will be working closely with the quality team and reporting to the Quality Systems Manager. Initially, you will have 3 direct reports of inspectors, with a goal to expand to 5 by mid-next year. The work environment emphasizes hands-on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and adherence to ISO 9001 standards.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $105000.00
