**Job Title: Quality Technician | $26/HR**
**Job Description**
As a Quality Technician, you will perform testing on Ford engine parts. This role involves receiving parts from operators, cutting parts with a band saw, running contamination tests, chemical tests, hardness testing, acid etching, and microscopic testing. You will then enter the data into the computer and report any issues in the quality of the metal to Ford. There is a 2-3 week training period before moving to your assigned shift.
**Responsibilities**
+ Cut-up, mount, and prepare parts for metallurgical testing.
+ Surface etching of parts for analysis.
+ Perform hardness and microstructure analysis.
+ Conduct cleanliness testing of machined parts.
+ Measure and record coolant and washer parameters.
+ Participate in the addition of chemicals including coolants, cleaners, and biocides.
+ Perform bio-stick dip tests of machine sumps and central systems.
+ Assist in maintaining coolant filters, washers, and other equipment.
+ Communicate with the customer to highlight changes in coolant parameters.
+ Prepare detailed shift reports.
+ Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
+ Properly maintain tools and utility equipment.
+ Support general organization initiatives.
+ Interact with customer’s production and technical personnel.
+ Operate hand tools, shop tools, and equipment as required.
+ Work flexible hours as needed.
+ Adhere to safety protocols in potentially hazardous situations.
+ Carry out other duties related to quality control, metallurgical heat treat, and the steel industry.

**Work Environment**
You will work a 2nd shift (10am-8:30pm or noon-10:30pm) on a 4/10 schedule, which includes one weekend day and three days off per week. Days off will be determined after hiring and we strive to accommodate each employee's preferences. Overtime is available.

This is a Contract position based out of NA, Ohio.
