**Job Title: Quality Technician - 1st Shift** **Job Description** Amtec manufactures ammunition for the military. We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team and ensure the highest quality standards for our products. **Responsibilities** + Verify piece part and assembly conformance per all required specifications. + Perform destructive testing as specified. + Use micrometers, calipers, comparators, dial indicators, force gauges, and non-contact measuring equipment. + Interpret part drawings, ASTM specifications, Mil-Std Specifications, and various inspection procedures. + Recognize and understand various geometric symbols. + Familiarity with ISO calibration procedures is beneficial. + Perform first article and 100% full dimensional piece part reports in front of U.S.G. personnel. + Collaborate with Engineers, Manufacturing personnel, various management resources, and U.S.G. representatives. + Apply good working knowledge of Statistical Process Control. + Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and documentation. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, comparators, dial indicators, force gauges, and non-contact measuring equipment. + Ability to interpret part drawings and specifications. + Knowledge of geometric symbols and their meanings. + Experience with Statistical Process Control. + Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. + Basic metrology skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 2 years of experience as a quality technician. + 3 years of experience in quality inspection. + Familiarity with ISO calibration procedures. + No degree required. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy direct hire with a group of laid-back, easy-to-work-with people in a family-oriented environment. You will be working in a very clean and climate-controlled shop with two facilities next to each other. The Maintenance Manager ensures a clean working environment. The team is supportive and collaborative. Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Janesville, Wisconsin. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $52000.00/yr.
