Quality Technician

This is a Night Shift 12-hour schedule 7 pm to 7am (36 hrs one week, 48 hrs next week) \n

\n Keep work area clean and organized, per 5S standards. Perform internal audits and inspections and enter appropriate systems as required. Using Microsoft Excel, prepare reports and document test and audit results. Assist in investigating customer complaints and help resolve quality issues.       Follow all Food Contact Packaging Safety requirements as outlined in the SQF Quality Manual and GMPs. Reporting and documenting any quality issues to machine operators, supervisors, and upper plant management. Collecting and cataloging samples retrieved from designated machines. Performing random audits of skids and bales of finished goods to determine quality of product. Perform quality testing in QA Lab for paper tensile strength, handle strength, ink rub resistance, bar code scanning, basis weight testing.  Must have knowledge of or training on QA Lab equipment - tensile tester, Sutherland rub tester, bar code scanner, gram scale. \n Two years of quality or safety experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting, or four years in a warehouse of manufacturing setting. Internal auditing experience preferred. Must have intimate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Self-managing with organization, time management, and analytical skills. Must have good eyesight, with the ability to distinguish color. \n
