Quality Technician
Our Autonomus vehicle client is looking for Electrical Inspection Quality Technician in Foster City, CA Description: Prototyping division (xOps) at Client provides rapid prototyping capability and facilitates quick design iterations for product development. We are now looking for someone who’s enthusiastic, innovative, quality driven, a self-starter, and willing to take on the challenges to work with us as an exceptional Electrical Inspection Quality Technician to help us increase the quality across our products. The candidate will be working with quality, manufacturing, and product development engineering to ensure the products manufactured in house are meeting design specifications and required documentation. The successful candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail-oriented, and able to work independently. You will be supporting projects developed by cross-functional teams where individual performance is measured by quality results, teamwork, and initiatives. Job Responsibilities: Evaluate quality requirements for new Jira tickets to interpret inspection plans and conduct visual / functional measurements and tests on PCBAs, harnesses, and other electrical sub-assemblies. Review supplier-provided documentation for outsourced PCBAs and other electrical sub-assemblies to ensure compliance to requirements. Create and submit quality documents including detailed Inspection Reports, Dimensional reports, Functional Test Reports (FTR’s), Process Certs, Material Certs, Rework Instructions, Temporary Deviation Orders (TDO’s), Packaging Reports, and Part Submission Warrants (PSW’s) in various quality databases including Jira, RGBSI, 3DX, and other Internal Quality Logs. Document and record non-conformances discovered during inspection via TDO’s and Jira Tickets. Maintain parts traceability requirements per Client’s standard. Maintain calibration schedule of the production and test equipment. Assist in RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) in order to drive quality issues to resolution. Support mechanical inspection team with backlog, as needed. Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders. Qualifications: Minimum requirement of associate’s degree in relevant field and 6 years experience. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Previous mechanical, electrical, and electronics equipment inspection background with ability to use precision measurement tools. Experience in defining and executing quality inspection criteria for PCBAs, harnesses, and other electrical sub-assemblies. Basic knowledge of QMS (Quality Management System) and Core Quality tools such as Process Flow Chart, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis), Control Plan, and Measurement System Analysis. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams. Strong communication skills (oral and written). IPC-610 and IPC-620 certification is preferred. Bonus Qualifications: Understanding of sampling methods. Working knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets, Jira, and RGBSI. General GD&T knowledge.
