Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician. Our Woodridge, IL location is the leader in the distribution of finished electrical products to multiple segments. These include utilties, hospitals, data centers, arenas, and aerospace. The Quality Technician role offers 40-hour paid week, full benefits, 401K match plan, and vacation. The working hours would be 5:30am-2:00pm and days being Monday-Friday.
The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:The Quality Technician evaluates and tests electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems and components on EATON UPS systems and related products. This role involves technical analysis, evaluation, and testing to resolve quality issues raised by customers and product returns, The Quality Technician interacts with all levels of personnel, including Quality Engineers to assist with any necessary troubleshooting of failures, performing stock audits, or performing receiving inspections on incoming material.

Use Quality Assurance Methods to find reasons for product failureWorks with various levels of personnel to troubleshoot failuresTechnical analysis of Quality issues raised by customer returns or complaintsEffectively reporting inspection detailsExplaining the methodology of evaluation and troubleshooting effortsPerform Stock Audits and incoming material inspectionsQualifications:Basic (Required):
• High School/GED
• Intermediate computer/typing skills and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to speak and read English.
Preferred:
• Associates of Science in technical field, preferably related to electrical engineering technology.
• Familiar with quality assurance methodologies such as non-conformance reports, root cause analysis, discrepant material reports, inspection sampling plans, first article inspection and stock audit plans
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, datasheets, and written work instructions.
• ASQ CQT certification or actively pursuing certification.
• Knowledge of analog design, video, mechanical and digital skills
• Knowledge of printed circuit board design and layout
