Quality Technician

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for a Quality Control Inspector with at least 3 years Inspection experience & IPC-610 Certified. This is a direct hire opportunity with a manufacturer of power control products located in Setauket NY vicinity.
Pay: $23/hour to $24/hour depending on experience
Responsibilities:
The Inspector is responsible for inspecting and approving incoming materials by conforming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. Prepare Certificates of Analysis for customer shipments. Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste and input the data into a quality database. Requirements: Minimum three years’ Inspection experience. IPC-610 certified. Experience working in a production environment. Experience with measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge and other measuring tools to measure and verify fabricated parts compliant to engineering drawing. Must be able to work independently, methodically and meet deadlines. Must be able to remain focused while performing high volume of inspections. Experience performing both electrical and mechanical inspection. Able to read and understand drawings. Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) report in accordance with AS9102.
