Quality Technician

As the Quality Technician, under the direction of the Production Engineering and the Quality Leader, will analyze and resolve quality issues, develop inspection plans and instructions, perform audits and analyze quality costs and other data related to quality.

You Will:

Conduct quality inspections following defined work instructions at specified production stages.

Perform visual inspection of parts for surface appearance, defects in finish, or other non-conformities.

Conduct daily inspections to ensure First Pass Yield (FPY) targets are met.

Communicate with the team when work instructions require updates and collaborate with the technical writer to ensure documentation is current and accurate.

Collaborate with the sustaining engineering team to identify root cause of quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Log and analyze product issues reported from the previous day to ensure documentation and resolution.

Familiarity with products and related issues to assess the impact and magnitude of reported problems.

Communicated quality alerts to the team and ensure proactive measures are taken to address them.

Conduct regular audits and process walks to verify compliance with quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.

Record test data.

Evaluate data and documents to verify compliance with standard or identify deviations.

Recommend modifications to quality or production standards to optimize quality within equipment limitations.

Develop data for continuous improvement efforts and lead teams in implementing improvements.

Perform failure analysis on customer complaints and returns.

Conduct CI (Continuous Improvement) inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.

You Have:

High School Diploma or GED.

2+ years of manufacturing experience

2+ years of quality related experience

Ability to read and write is required.

Strong math skills.

Read blueprints and use measuring tools.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
