Job DescriptionQuality TechnicianLancaster, PAAbout the Role:Maintains production by operating packing machines. This position is responsible for performing of their respective duties to meetPerforms the day-to-day monitoring, testing and documentation to assure that all processes and practices comply with SQF standards for Food Safety and Quality, as well as other federal regulations and directives in food production. Actively use SAP and Infinity to enter in lab data.Trouble shoot problems and work with operations to correct. Performs record reviews. Proficient writing skills to detail quality related activities. Assists with special projects.A focus on standards, regulations and practices related to food safety and food quality and environmental safety is priority.All procedures and practices used are grounded in standards, regulations and laws addressing occupational safety (OSHA), building and electrical codes, and food safety and food quality (FDA) in addition to environmental safety (EPA) in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Responsibilities:Assure that quality assurance standards and documents are communicated and enforced by conducting daily inspectionsPerforms environmental swabbing of production equipment and environment with analysis of resultsPrepares written documents describing analysis techniques and test results; writes SOP's and other quality documents and reportsCommunicate with all levels of the organization in review of test results, including written and verbal formsEnters quality-related work orders into SAPGather special samples for additional incubation and defects audits as directedProvide support for sample gathering and data recording for plant trialsPerform audits to verify compliance with established SOP documentation, GMP's, HACCP and Safe Quality Food {SQF) effortsAssists with the coordination, performance, and documentation remediation of product on holdReviews regulatory documentation for product release (i.e., record review)Maintains inventory of materials related to microbiological testing and coordinates shipments of samplesParticipates and leads process improvement projectsDetermines SAP usage decisions on bulk deliveriesUpdates sampling plansMaintains product specifications documentation for productionMonitor the HACCP Program and processes, reflecting a focus on continuous improvement with the customer complaint process and the product complaint process, including investigation, analysis, follow up, documentation, trending, and routine internal reporting to leadership.Important DetailsThis role works 12-hour shifts from 6:00 pm to 6:00 amOvertime is mandatoryPay rate is $21.25 per hourAbout You:You’ll fit right in if you have:High School, technical school education or equivalentAbility to be organized, multitask, and keep up with multiple fast-paced machinesBasic math and measuring abilityAbility to use computers for data entryAbility to work as a team playerAbility to communicate information one-on-one and in small group situations
