Quality Technician
BASIC POSITION DUTIES : + To support the layout, testing and inspection requirements for the facility.    JOB DUTIES: + Perform functions such as:  Process Patrol Audits, Maintain QPR system, Maintain and Monitor quality control data in datamyte software system, daily scrap review, participant in continuous improvement activities (Jishuken, Kaizen Teams), Associate Training, Gage R&R Studies.  Other assignments as required. + To support the development and implementation of Supplier Certification, Supplier PPAP’s and act as primary supplier interface. + Perform functions such as: coordinate building & inspection of prototype parts to support R&D (AC-E). + Interface with production, customers and/or suppliers to answer questions and resolve concerns. + Basic maintenance and testing, of inspection equipment such as:  Microvu, Instron (Shear/Compression), Ovens (Swells & Growth/Resin Flow), Hardness Testers, Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gage w/ Indicator, Digital Indicator. + Supplement Receiving Inspection and in-process Testing activities. + Support trials and new products launches.   MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: + High School plus 2 years Vocational Technical Degree or equivalent experience in Quality Field preferred.    SPECIAL SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: + Working knowledge of inspection/quality principles. + Strong written/oral communication skills. + Ability to effectively work with production, customers, R&D, and suppliers. + Ability to work in and promote a team environment. + Working knowledge of personal computer applications. + Knowledge TS16949 Automotive Quality System standards. + Knowledge of basic chemistry, SPC principles, & GD&T drawings.
