We are looking for a Quality Technician for our Hingham, Mass facility
Role and Responsibilities Partner closely with the quality leaders, engineers, and supervisors on final inspections before shipments are released. Inspect products per drawings, schematics, route cards, and test specifications while using a variety of tools such as calipers and cameras Work with cross-functional teams to adequately detail records in the SAP Quality Management system Assist with Discrepancy and Non-Conformance reporting (capturing and interpreting metrics to find areas needing improvement) Document and respond to shipping damage issues Maintain a safe work environment Improve skills and knowledge through continued learning of Siemens’ production, safety, and inspection procedures You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or state-recognized GED required Ability to travel 2% if off-site training or meetings maybe vital Shown electro-mechanical abilities gained through previous professional and/or academic experience as the need arises to inspect the functional quality of Russelectric products (e.g. wire terminations, solder joints, etc.) Punctual attendance required. The First shift for this job is 6:45am—3:15pm Eastern Standard time. Qualified candidates must be able to work during this time; ability to work overtime or weekends when needed. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required Proficiency with precision measuring equipment to check parts for compliance with engineering specifications Good verbal and written communication skills in English required Ability to work independently and with cross-functional partners Strong attention to details Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings required Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization Preferred Qualifications: SAP experience preferred Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO14001 or ISO45001 would be useful IPC 610 and 620 certifications would be a plus Experience generating, tracking, and interpreting quality metrics preferred You’ll benefit from: Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees.
