Quality Technician I

Perform tests on samples to establish compliance with specification and suitability for use in production and quality. Record and review results, and issues notifications for out of spec samples. Issues notifications for seriously out-of-spec samples. Support the site Quality and Safety agendas. Perform GMP/Housekeeping and Safety audits, and monitoring aging inventory. Calibrates and maintains instrumentation.

Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position on 2ndshift, Monday - Friday (weekends as needed), from 4:00pm - 12:30am. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required. 

Position Responsibilities

Conduct organoleptic and analytical tests at various stages of compounding and packaging to ensure compliance with standards. May include the use of pH meters, HPLC, Malvern Mastersizer, and other instrumentation.Submit samples for microbiological testing, maintains test results, and calculates batch adjustments for certain products.Approve batches for packaging and conforming finished product for shipment and places non-conforming product on hold for further analysis.Make corresponding inventory movements in SAP.File and maintain retained samples.Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.Prepare reagents and solutions for use in testing. Observes conditions and practices in compounding, packaging, and finished goods storage areas, making recommendations for improvement. Total Rewards Pay starting at $25.19 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $26.45 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.
