JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Technician will primarily be responsible for the maintenance and development of the test laboratory. The role will also be responsible for evaluation of the returned product from customers and the field. After completing the investigation a customer complaint reports will be completed for product returned from the customer and Field Experience Reports for product returned from the field. The Quality technician will also perform Product testing and support work for NPI Projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employees are expected to support the production concepts inherent in the business philosophies of Integer, including a variety of job related tasks, which may not be specific to this position profile.

Accountabilities include:

Maintenance of customer product returns handling system which covers:

Carry out an evaluation of the returned product from the customer and after completing the investigation complete the customer complaint reports and send for approval.  Managing the Return Goods Authorization (RGA) process.Handling and organising customer returns rework processing.Returned product analysis.Attend customer product concerns related meetings with other department personnel as required.Carry out customer product concern related project work, as required.Organisation, filing and reporting of customer product concerns.ERP transactions for customer returns.

Maintenance of test lab including

Carry out an evaluation of the returned product from the field and complete the Complaint investigation form and send for approval and update reliance.Failure investigation activities (internal and FER issues).Upkeep and introduction of new test methods as required.Validation testing for process changes, performance/safety testing to support process excursion issues.Upkeep and 5S of test lab.

Provide regular report updates to management relating to all of the above.

Ensure that in your absence, your area of responsibility is covered.  Ensure that other departments are informed of your arrangements in your absence.

Be an active member of the Integer team and work with all employees to develop a world class lean manufacturing system.

Comply with the Integer behavioural standards.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Must be able to communicate and work with people inside and outside the department while at all times using excellent interpersonal skills.Competent in the use of computers, particularly excel and word, and must have an understanding of technical report drafting skills.Have excellent attention to detail.
