Job Description: Quality Technician We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in quality inspection and possess excellent problem-solving skills. This role involves working with various quality inspection tools and methodologies to ensure our products meet the highest standards, particularly in the aerospace and defense industry. Responsibilities + Conduct quality inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, gages, and optical comparators. + Utilize problem-solving methods including 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams. + Apply APQP & PPAP quality planning processes. + Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). + Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including FAIRs, PPAP, control plans, and inspection reports. + Support quality management systems and processes. + Collaborate with the team to ensure adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement. + Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Essential Skills + Minimum 2-3+ years of experience in quality inspection. + Proficiency with quality inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, gages, and optical comparators. + Familiarity with 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone problem-solving methodologies. + Strong knowledge of APQP & PPAP quality planning. + Experience in the interpretation and application of GD&T. + Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. + Strong writing and communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office. + Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Metrology experience and experience operating and/or programming CMMs, Faro Arm, SmartScope, or Keyence Vision System. + Technical understanding of part measurements based on customer blueprints or CAD drawings. + Experience in CNC machining, PPAP, CMM, OGP, and blueprint reading. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
