Job Title: Quality Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will represent and project the Quality Department positively, perform various quality control duties, and ensure all processes adhere to quality standards. This role involves working with lab equipment, chemicals, and conducting quality tests. It requires strong math skills, basic chemistry knowledge, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.

ResponsibilitiesRepresent and project the Quality Department in a positive manner.Undergo training in SAP.Perform collection, filing, and verification duties associated with Quality documents in a timely manner.Operate lab equipment and use chemicals safely.Conduct quality tests as assigned.Collect and prepare samples for analysis and accurately document results of testing.Prepare chemical solutions used in lab tests.Represent the department in various plant meetings (e.g., daily level 2 meeting).Work independently and maintain high safety awareness.Perform monthly safety scans and take corrective action.Conduct quality audits.Regularly connect with production employees, supervisors, quality coordinators, brine maker, and Quality Manager to perform duties and solve problems.Assist in training and communication with employees on quality issues/procedures.Perform computer skills including accessing procedures & forms, sending emails, formatting spreadsheets, and data entry.Understand and follow quality policies and procedures.Read, understand, and follow product specifications.Accurately respond to all quality hold situations.Ensure all Processes/HACCP checks are done accurately and timely during Production Quality audits.Resample and retain unacceptable products and assist in rework.Perform all other duties assigned by management.Perform basic sanitation duties in the lab.Essential SkillsPrevious quality control experience required.Strong math skills.Completion of one basic chemistry course.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegree not required but preferred.Work Environment

This position requires working rotating shifts, with overtime and weekend work as dictated by business needs. You may be required to switch schedules or shifts as the need arises. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as bump cap/hard hat, safety glasses, slip-resistant shoes, and ear plugs must be worn.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00
