Quality Technician
**QA Specialist** **Job Description** The Quality Technician will be responsible for implementing and managing the Quality Control Program. This includes developing quality standards and coordinating the inspection of fabrication, dimensions, color, and finish of all manufactured products. The position involves proposing, implementing, and documenting new and improved quality methods, procedures, and standards. **Responsibilities** + Develop and communicate Quality Control policies and procedures. + Review all production documents to ensure accuracy and quality of color, finish, dimension, and other specifications. + Maintain detailed inspection process reports and results using photos, spreadsheets, etc. + Identify and report discrepancies between contractual requirements and products to management while working on the factory floor. + Perform receiving inspections on products purchased from suppliers, maintain records of supplier performance and quality, and reject substandard deliveries. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of experience in a custom fabrication shop, specializing in architectural projects. + Previous Quality Control experience preferred. + Ability to understand custom fabrication concepts and shop drawings. + Experience with manufacturing safety practices and accident prevention programs. + Strong MS Office skills, specifically in Excel and Word. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Self-driven, focused, and extremely organized. + Strong attention to detail. + Flexible and able to manage changing priorities effectively. + Strong team player with the ability to get along with all levels in an organization. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to use brushes, rollers, paint guns, and other paint tools. + Ability to read detailed shop drawings and calculate accurate cuts. + Experience in building custom products to specific instructions. + Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on occasion and stand for long periods of time. + Skills in blueprint reading, MIG, TIG welding, industrial painting, HVLP spray, paint prep, spray gun usage, construction, production, fabrication, engineering, and using power tools and tape measures. + Experience working with metal and aluminum. **Why Work Here?** Once direct, the company offers a complete medical, dental, vision, and life insurance package, along with PTO and a 401k plan.
