Quality Technician

ROLE SUMMARY

To continuously improve plant quality by ensuring conformance to quality standards. Apply engineering principles & analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products.

POSITION DETAILS

Implements and maintains the Plant Quality Operating System. Coach and teach plant teams on new and revised QOS items Updates internal QOS to reflect external concerns (i.e. Warranty & TGW) by making QCM or Process updates as required Coordinates internal actions when necessary for the resolution of product quality concerns Applies Quality Operating System within the plant guidelines and interacts with various departments.  Prepares, facilitates, and documents Quality related meetings Assists teams in resolving external and internal quality-related concerns Coordinate the Daily Quality Meeting.  Provide pro forma team presentations.  Manage a team of quality inspectors and metal finishers Provide training and guidance to team members on FPA standards

 QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

N4 and above Quality/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Industrial Engineering National Diploma in Quality/ Mechanical / Electrical/ Industrial Engineering preferable A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the related field in an automotive & manufacturing environment Minimum 3 years experience on A-Class Surface panels

PERFORMANCE MEASURES

The ability to effectively manage the day-to-day running of all quality-related indicators

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES 

Must be analytical and high attention to detail Must also be able to work independently and as part of a team when required. Must be able to use own initiative. Good Communication and decision-making skills Intermediate knowledge of Word/ PowerPoint/ Excel/ Outlook QLS knowledge will be advantageous.
