Quality Technician
**Job Description:** ITW Commercial Construction, NA is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Technician on first shift. This position is based out of Itasca, IL and is responsible for basic product inspection testing activities including: auditing the production process and product performance, maintaining the quality program, determining trends and submitting quality reports. ITW offers its employees a path for advancement, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to help employees care for themselves, their families, and their futures. **Core Responsibilities:** + Conducts audit activities at ITW facilities; conduct product quality audits using the audit program guidelines; Report findings. + Conduct incoming and finished products inspection for allocated product families. + Conduct simple incoming and finished product inspection for metallurgical characteristics. + Maintain the CCNA ISO based quality program. Create and implement standard quality procedures to insure consistent product performance. + Participate to the Corrective Actions effort to resolve quality problems customer complaints. + This position may be assigned other duties as needed to support plant and to meet customer needs. **Job Requirements:** + High School Diploma / GED required; Associate’s degree would be a plus, with preference given to Manufacturing, QA, or related fields. + Minimum of 3 years production experience in a manufacturing environment; Quality Assurance experience is preferred. + Mechanical aptitude to understand the production process and performance inspection/testing. + Demonstrate basic computer skills and competency with Microsoft Office suite. + Verbal communication, and writing. + Basic math skills and knowledge of statistics are preferred. + Ability to work in a team environment. + Ability to read blueprints / specification sheets and follow instructions. + Demonstrate strong attention to details. + Strong competencies: Quality orientation, safety awareness, high work standards.
