We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on technical experience in production QA inspection, with a strong experience in metals inspection. This role involves using various inspection tools to ensure the quality of production parts, adhering to ISO9001/IATF16949 quality standards, and identifying non-conforming products. Familiarity with statistical process control and the ability to interpret and apply GD&T are essential.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the Quality Department with part inspections.Identify non-conforming products.Use QA inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and inspection gages, to measure production parts.Ensure part quality and proper dimensioning.Run a CMM (no programming required).Understand and apply QC documentation.Read blueprints and customer CAD prints to ensure proper inspection to dimensions and part tolerances.Document inspected parts using computer skills.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of hands-on technical experience in production QA inspection.Experience with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and inspection gages.Familiarity with ISO9001/IATF16949 quality standards.Knowledge of statistical process control.Ability to identify non-conforming products.Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) and quality-related software.Experience in interpreting and applying GD&T.Additional Skills & QualificationsMetals inspection experience preferred – metal stamping, metal fabrication, CNC machined parts inspection.Ability to run a CMM (no programming required).Strong understanding of QC documentation.Ability to read blueprints and customer CAD prints.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
