How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Here at Calgaz Gasco, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team at our Calgaz Cambridge, MD facility. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our quality management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 11118, and ISO 17034 standards. This role requires a strong understanding of quality principles, calibration procedures, and a commitment to continuous improvement, whilst being able to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Quality

Maintain and uphold compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 11118, and ISO 17034 standards by preparing for all internal and external audits and providing supporting evidence.Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits.Manage and control quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records. Document control is maintained through our Intelex platform.Coordinate calibration of measuring equipment and maintain calibration records.Investigate and resolve customer complaints, internal non-conformances and supplier non-conformances, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.Have knowledge of and utilize root cause analysis methodology (5WHY, Ishikawa, 8D etc)Monitor and analyze quality performance indicators outlined by the Quality Manager and proactively identify areas for improvement.Participate in developing and implementing quality training programs.Have knowledge of stock control and inventory related to quality-related items.Have knowledge of SAP for quality-related tasks, including data entry and reporting.Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.Support incoming inspection on purchased parts and ensure all certificates of conformity are logged into the local Google Drive for traceability.Monitor the in-process quality and the quality failures reported on a monthly basis. Use this data to identify trends and areas for improvement, presenting monthly on a Quality department call.Support, and where required, manage the Supplier Quality for Cambridge with critical suppliers.Lead local investigations of quality complaints; involving stakeholders in the end to end process to gain a true understanding of the root cause.Develop and implement effective corrective actions that both satisfy the corrective and preventive elements of an investigation, being practical to process under review.Manage controlled documentation for Cambridge via the Intelex platform.Manage calibrations for Cambridge, via the intelex platform.Support and coordinate customer complaints, using both Zendesk & Intelex.Where required, support the local MOC process for the launch/modification/replacement of equipment.

Safety

Follow all local and regional safety regulations.Follow all Calgaz and Airgas safety initiatives.Complete all safety training within set due dates - this is mandatory for Calgaz.Calgaz expects you to put safety first at all times.________________________Are you a MATCH?

Advantageous skills:

Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) techniques.Experience in a manufacturing or testing laboratory environment.Familiarity with metrology principles and practices.Ability to develop and deliver training materials, relating to local processes and the QMS.Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies or willingness to learn.

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, which holds ISO 9001 certification.Proven experience in a quality assurance role would be advantageous, preferably within a regulated industry.Demonstrable knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 11118, and ISO 17034 standards.Strong understanding of calibration procedures and equipment.Proficiency in using SAP and other relevant software applications.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Eagerness to participate in training materials development and training courses.
