Inspect Fabricated Parts: Conduct thorough visual and physical examinations of metal components at various production stages to check for dimensional accuracy, surface defects, and compliance with design specifications.Utilize Measuring Tools: Accurately measure part dimensions using tape measures, levels, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.Read Blueprints and Specifications: Understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to ensure each part meets the intended design.Identify Defects: Detect potential quality issues such as misalignment, warping, scratches, dents, improper welding, and other imperfections during inspections.Document Findings: Record inspection results on quality control forms, noting any non-conforming parts and documenting corrective actions taken.Communicate with Production Teams: Report identified issues to production personnel, providing feedback to improve manufacturing processes and prevent future quality problems.Implement Corrective Actions: Work with operators to address quality issues by adjusting machining parameters, reworking defective parts, or implementing process improvements.Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure adherence to established quality control procedures and industry standards, including safety regulations.Skills and Qualifications:
Required Skills:Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes (cutting, welding, bending, etc.)Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawingsExpertise in using both standard and precision measuring toolsKeen attention to detail and ability to identify even minor defectsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with quality control methodologies and documentation practicesProficiency in working with computers (Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook, etc.)Availability to work overtime as required (may include some weekend work)Nice to Have:Interest in becoming a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)Ability to train and mentor othersExperience Level: Intermediate

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
