Job Purpose and Impact

The Quality Control Technician I, conducts analysis of materials and products using defined procedures and specifications to ensure results are aligned with specifications with regular guidance. In this role, you will test and conduct analysis of raw materials, materials in process and finished product to ensure products are in line with predetermined specifications.

Principal Accountabilities:

Collect, measure and weigh samples of materials of specific products based of defined procedures and specificationsTest and conduct analysis of raw materials, in process or finished product using defined procedures and specificationsComplete documentation and maintain records testing results with regular guidanceMaintain a clean and safe work area through knowledge and practice of safe and efficient food and safety practicesAccurately perform and record monitoring activities, process verifications, and audits throughout the facility including raw material audits, documenting deviations and/or recording corrective actions takenMonitoring and enforcing all plant specific and corporate food safety programsPrepare samples and perform product and/or material testingPerform environmental swabbingPerforming pre-operational inspections and along with performing quality monitoring of product and processesDocumenting and maintaining record keeping utilizing a computer as necessaryAuditing supplies to maintain inventory and designing and implementing new procedures and/or techniquesInteracting regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environmentUnderstand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.Maintaining a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assignedQualifications

Required Qualifications:

Must be eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or olderAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)Basic use of a computerAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodationAbility to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice    

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a production related workExperience in Quality Assurance or Food ManufacturingExperience operating mobile equipment such as forkliftHigh school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
