Quality Technician

This role is responsible for performing quality control tests on mechanical and electrical systems integral to Nalco’s pretreatment equipment and chemical dosing offerings.

What You Will Do:

Perform hydrostatic, mechanical, and electrical tests on equipment based on standard procedures and document test resultsTroubleshoot, and potentially fix, issues that arise during testingUpload, configure, debug and troubleshoot programmable logic controller (PLC) programs and related control logic on equipmentUse and install meters, power supplies, hoses, and other testing equipmentCritically evaluate quality standardsInterface with equipment design engineers to ensure electrical, mechanical, and control system tests are sufficientRead and interpret mechanical and electrical drawingsOversee quality testing department to ensure schedule, quality, and safety standards are metUse overhead crane and safe rigging and maneuvering of loads in support of the various equipment assembly and preparation for shipment activitiesOperate a forklift and pallet jackOther duties as assigned

Position Details:

Plant location: Glenwood, ILWork week and shift: Monday-Friday 6AM – 2:30PM, OT eligible

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent3 years of experience in an equipment assembly or electrical-related assignment3 years of experience working on industrial equipment utilizing computerized (PLC) control systems to perform process operationsExperience using hand and power tools and basic size/weight measuring devicesExperience using electrical process calibration tools, including multi-meters, signal generators, and amprobesExperience with low voltage AC (
