Pay Rate: $25.22 - $29.64 per hour

Location: El Segundo, CA 90245
Schedule: Full-time; Consultant (12 Months), Monday to Friday, 9x80 Schedule

Position Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to support aerospace and defense manufacturing operations by ensuring strict adherence to quality and regulatory standards. This role is critical in maintaining product integrity, compliance with industry specifications, and continuous improvement in quality control processes. The technician will work in a fast-paced environment, conducting rigorous inspections and analysis of materials and products to uphold stringent aerospace and defense standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive quality control testing on raw materials, packaging materials, and finished aerospace and defense components to verify conformance to strict industry standards and tolerance specifications.

Perform in-depth qualitative and quantitative analyses to assess chemical, mechanical, and physical properties of materials used in high-precision aerospace applications.

Certify and maintain testing instruments and calibration equipment to ensure precise measurement and compliance with aerospace quality requirements.

Prepare and analyze quality control reports and statistical data to monitor performance trends and identify areas for process improvement.

Review and validate production records, ensuring strict adherence to established quality assurance protocols, regulatory requirements, and defense industry specifications.

Investigate non-conformance issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to mitigate quality risks in aerospace manufacturing.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and compliance personnel, to proactively address quality concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Proven experience in quality control, inspection, or testing in a manufacturing or laboratory environment, preferably within the aerospace and defense industry.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Hands-on experience maintaining and operating precision test instruments and calibration equipment.

Ability to identify, document, and address quality defects with a strong understanding of root cause analysis methodologies.

Effective verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting and cross-department collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Prior experience working within FAA, AS9100, or ISO 9001 quality management systems.

Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data-driven quality improvement techniques.

Experience reviewing and analyzing production documentation for regulatory and procedural compliance.

Knowledge of non-conformance testing methods, aerospace material testing, and failure analysis processes.

Prior military service, particularly in roles related to quality assurance, maintenance, or aerospace operations.

Prior Aerospace, Defense, or Aviation experience, studies, or projects.

Pay Details: $25.22 to $29.64 per hour
