Eaton’s ES AMER MFGSC division is currently seeking a Quality Technician - Auditor.
The hourly rate for this position is 20.50 per hour.

Eaton’s Electrical Sector Americas region has an opening for a Quality Technician in our South Dallas, TX distribution center. This position is 20 minutes south of downtown Dallas.
The Quality Technician will be responsible for processing product returns for multiple product lines within the warehouse while also providing support for quality/inventory as assigned by management.

In this function you will:
• Unpack returned merchandise, inspect package condition and assess paperwork sent in with return instructions for proper return procedures.
• Re-package, Put-away, or scrap existing non-conforming material that has been dispositioned
• Inspect returned merchandise, checking for quality and condition of product to determine return category.
• Distribute returned product to their proper location considering all factors including the value of the product, its condition, type of return and specified disposition.
• Maintain and log the necessary return data in excel spreadsheet for better visibility and for the use of root cause analysis.
• Input the necessary return data in internal computer systems needed to initiate and process a return.
• Identify critical distribution issues and report them to team lead/supervisor.
• Collaborate with customer service, inbound and outbound departments to develop a strong base knowledge of their functions to support investigations and reporting of inventory discrepancies.
• Review quality/inventory discrepancies and conduct thorough investigation to address accordingly.
• Perform necessary Quality audits for inbound and outbound operations
• Analyze and investigate transactional data for styles to determine root causes and reporting of investigation results with the appropriate teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Use available system tools including WMS, SAP, Q-pulse, Vista, and MS Office as needed for analysis, investigation, and reporting.
• Apply Eaton product knowledge to assist in driving location and inventory accuracy improvements..
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Maintain quality workmanship, observe safety procedures, report unsafe acts and perform work of equal of lower classification if necessary.
• Operate Powered Industrial Truck Equipment as needed
• Flex into other department as needed

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution.
• Minimum 1 year work experience in a distribution, warehouse and/or other handling environment
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• Must be able to lift 40+ pounds without assistance
• No documented performance or attendance coaching’s in the previous 6 months
• Continuous standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling
• Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal.
• Focused and attention to detail while performing all tasks at hand.
• Basic computer skills (e.g. personal computers, printers, email).
• Knowledgeable in SAP
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Dallas, TX will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in distribution, warehouse and/or other handling environment.
• Previous forklift and/or order picker equipment (MHE) operation experience.
• Must be able to work specific shift hours and have flexibility to work overtime based on customer demand.
• WMS, Vista, Q-pulse and Microsoft Office experience.
• Eaton product knowledge.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision.
• Actively support team concepts and effectively communicate with team members.
