Quantitative Analytics Senior Director – Enterprise Model Governance (Hybrid - 3 Days in Office)

Our Impact:

The EMG team is responsible for providing a coordinated, consistent approach to model governance across the first line business divisions.

Your Impact:

Develop enterprise technical guidance for Model Risk. Management to enable consistent interpretation and implementation across the divisions.

Perform Quality Control reviews of the model governance activities to promote adherence with the EMG guidance.

Effectively interact with model business owners, implementers and users, business stakeholders, and governance committees to manage technical model risk practices, including providing advise on technical issues related to interpretation of the technical model governance requirements.

Participate and support in audit and regulatory engagements, including issue remediation activities related to model risk.

Establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments to staff.

Build strong relationships and consensus across the lines of defense on model technical testing and documentation related matters, aligning conflicting priorities and resolving issues to achieve progress.

Partner with enterprise governance groups (e.g., Enterprise Data Office, Enterprise Third Party Office, Artificial Intelligence Risk Governance, etc.) and Enterprise Operations & Technology, as applicable, when model-specific guidance is needed related to another risk domain such as data, third party, AI/ML, technology.

Qualifications:

Graduate degree with advanced studies/degree in economics/statistics/mathematics/Quantitative Finance or related fields preferred.

Typically has 12+ years related experience in regulated financial services institutions with focus in housing markets and structured products.

Keys to Success in this Role:

Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

Extensive experience in model development or validation.

Working knowledge in processing data and programming.

Thorough knowledge of applicable regulatory guidance.

Superior technical written and oral communication skills.

Must be able to plan, organize and supervise work of staff and produce timely results

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $244,000 - $366,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
