About the role

As a Quantitative UX Researcher, you'll leverage quantitative methods to shape design, product, and marketing strategies that enhance customer experiences. Working alongside a Principal UX Researcher, you’ll provide actionable insights to a data-driven team and collaborate with UX professionals and cross-functional partners to evaluate and refine outcomes. Our ultimate goal is to redefine how people buy, sell, and rent homes in New York City and New Jersey.

Responsibilities

Apply a variety of research methods, focusing mainly on quantitative, to tackle complex customer problems and find market opportunities.

Synthesize data from a number of different sources to identify meaningful trends and patterns that will help improve the overall customer experience.

Design and execute sophisticated survey studies that go beyond basic setups, using robust sampling strategies and advanced analytical techniques to yield actionable insights.

Apply advanced statistical techniques to analyze large data sets and find valuable patterns and takeaways (e.g., regression, mixed effects models).

Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives that require a quantitative UX lens, like audience segmentation.

Advocate for customer needs throughout the design process and ensure they align with business initiatives.

Deliver high-quality work on time by leveraging existing data and insights to build on past findings and align with strategic objectives.

Translate research findings into actionable insights, regularly engaging with partners to present results and inspire data-driven action in product development.

Coordinate with Principal UX Researcher to align projects with business objectives and develop research roadmaps.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $123,200.00 - $196,800.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

3+ years experience as a user researcher or similar role, with a Master’s degree or higher.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize quantitative research activities to deliver practical insights and direction quickly.

Expertise in designing, executing, and managing large-scale surveys with robust sampling strategies.

Skilled in conducting rigorous descriptive and inferential analyses to transform complex survey data into practical insights.

Proficient in using survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey), statistical software (R, Python), and SQL for data analysis and visualization.

Interest in exploring new experimental methodologies and tools.

Experience in designing evaluative research studies focused on quantitative methods to assess digital experiences.

Comfortable moderating remote/virtual research with research participants (e.g., interviews, usability testing).

Skilled in communicating research findings and actionable recommendations in a concise and visually compelling manner, leveraging storytelling skills to show impact on both customers and business outcomes.

Strong and growing product sense and business curiosity.

Nice to have: experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment like a startup, familiarity with NY real estate market
