We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Phoenix, AZ area. In this client facing role, you will be the lead for all deliverables on a project team for a semiconductor client.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop overall project estimate plans (including approach, scope demarcation, level of accuracy, timing, necessary resources, reviews, and approvals etc.…) to support development of various project funding requirementsAssist with the team of QSs / Estimators as necessary to prepare different types of estimates (ROM, Preliminary, Budget, Definitive)Lead the preparation of miscellaneous estimates, ensuring the consistent application of standard processes and procedures as may be determined by Intel corporate groups from time-to-timeValidate A/E and CM approaches to detailed estimate preparation, and review and approve such estimates as may be prepared directly by the A/E and CMIn conjunction with other project team members and taking into account the status of development of engineering/design, procurement, and actual construction/installation, develop detailed assessment of necessary escalation and allowance for unforeseen for inclusion in overall project funding request. Assemble overall project estimates, including elements prepared by the owner, taking input from A/E, CM, and other third-party groups as necessary, and present in standard format for senior management review and approval.Work with the Project Cost Engineer to break total project estimates into WBS, cost code, design / bid package or other appropriate mechanism to allow detailed monitoring and forecasting of costs as the project progresses.Develop detailed “should-cost” estimates at various stages of the project (or validate costs developed by others), to assist in the analysis of miscellaneous proposals, tenders, change orders, claims etc.Gather and provide regular feedback on actual costs and work-hour norms for construction installation, to be incorporated in the overall corporate estimating database.Assist as appropriate in benchmarking construction costs between different Intel project locationsIn support of our project partners, assist in the detailed normalization and analysis of miscellaneous contractors’ tender packages.Participate in miscellaneous cross-site/multi-functional task forces and initiatives as necessaryPreferred Education and Experience:
Education: BS in Construction, Cost & Commercial Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field Experience: more than 3 years’ experience post receiving undergraduate degree working in related fieldPreferred Certification: Working towards Professional Certification – MRICS, AssocRICS, CCP, CEP, CPE or equivalent.#LI-EG1
