Element has an opportunity for Quantity Surveyor. In this role, you will be reporting to the Contracts Manager and you will prepare all the cost estimates for the projects. This ranges from initial calculations to the final accounts to help in bidding and determining the price of the service. You will require to minimise costs while adhering to the required standards and policies. Keeping track of the progression of the contract with regards to any variations. Good communication and negotiation skills are needed for discussion with stakeholders.
This will be a site based position in based Singapore.
Responsibilities Prepare technical and commercial proposals during tender stage including including bills of quantities material quantity and taking off quantities, attend site show round, site visit, attend tender briefing, seeks clarifications with respective client/consultant if anyStudy details and discuss with management, attend tender interviews including method statement, technical proposal presentation and tender clarificationManpower and resources budgeting, monthly monitoring, review and updatePrepare pricing of bill of quantity and re-measurement works
Assist in establishing a client's requirements and coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet requirements
Monitor tender/quotation results, check tender/quotation status via Gebiz and inform management; for private tender/quotation, to follow-up closely with client
Skills / Qualifications Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering disciplinesMinimum 2-5 years’ relevant experience n civil construction or geotechnical engineering worksPositive working attitude, ability to multitask and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentMeticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, good team player, and able to meet tight timeline#LI-PN1
