We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Sandton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the built environment and will be responsible for managing costs and budgeting for construction projects.
Responsibilities:
– Preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
– Evaluating and analyzing tenders and contract documents
– Managing and negotiating with contractors and suppliers
– Conducting site visits and providing cost reports
– Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction process
– Managing variations and claims
– Providing advice on cost-saving measures and value engineering
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the built environment
– Professional registration with relevant industry bodies
– Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Strong communication and negotiation skills
