Join this pioneering green steel mill project in Boden (Sweden), aimed at revolutionizing the steel industry with sustainable practices. This project is a significant step towards reducing carbon emissions and promoting eco-friendly industrial processes.
We are currently seeking a dedicated experienced Quantity Surveyor E&I who is interested in joining this groundbreaking project. Foreseen duration is until September 2026.
Key Responsibilities: Confirms quantities for progress and invoice verification of payments to construction contractors. Coordinates and schedules measurement activities with construction management. Prepares and maintains complete and accurate field measurement notes, including numerical calculations, basis of calculations and assumptions / background. Supports the contract administrator in establishing Request for Contract Action (RCA), or Project Cost Alerts (PCA), when required. Reviews construction contractor’s proposal for contract changes for accuracy and quantity basis and validate against current contract with the contract administrator. Assists in evaluation of change requests: interfaces with the contract administrator for the initiation and development of contract change documents. Where required, support discussions and negotiations with contractor on (counter) estimates and contract change request. Assist in providing input to Home office for contract cost forecast developments as required. Liaises with Engineering, Contracts, Construction and UPT management on evaluation of potential changes, risks assessment, and mitigation. Liaises with other Project Controls staff for aspects of (potential) changes. Assists in compiling historical data / key quantity analysis. Monitors CMSI Project Cost Alerts (PCA’s) and changes for commitments and forecasting purposes
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor E&I or similar role in large-scale construction projects. In-depth knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation, and financial management. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Relevant certifications in quantity surveying or cost management are preferred. Proficiency in English; knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
