Quarry Field Engineer:Primary Responsibility: Operation of various survey equipment in order to measure drill hole deviation, model existing conditions, and determine appropriate blast hole locations for various projects. Results to be communicated to blasting supervisors allowing them to make safe and productive blast designs.
Essential Duties:
Will participate in the MDB safety culture by following all company safety policies and practices Operate GPS survey equipment, UAV (drone), and boretrak survey equipment Utilize image processing software and autoCAD to perform quantity take offs, and surface analysis of various projects Coordinate tasks between engineering personnel, blasters, superintendents, and division managers, including listening to questions, researching answers and providing the support for them to improve performance of their job position Prioritize and manage time to accomplish requests Work with construction division engineers to complete field surveys Maintain professional representation to develop and foster customer relationships Provide training, guidance, direction and leadership to others to ensure work is performed to MDB standards and customer expectations Attention to detail in the reliability and quality of the information using good judgment to identify any anomalies Participate in weekly operational meetings and bi-weekly departmental meetings All other duties as assignedQualifications:
B.S. Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or direct industry equivalent experience. Must have good communications skills with both internal and external customers Possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record as defined by the company insurance carrier. Strong computer skills. Strong technical communications skills (reading and writing) Organized with strong sense of priority, urgency and commitment to deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and time management skills The ability to multi-taskJob Requirements:
