Description The general duties and responsibilities of the chemist include but are not limited to the following: + Conduct routine testing or other analysis in a specific group or department setting. + Conduct advanced testing and/or critical testing, as required. + Operate specialized equipment or conduct specialized skill testing. + Participate in investigation activities. + Skilled and hands-on experience in ICP-MS, ICP-OES, UV, HPLC, GC, IC & Dissolution instruments + Operate a computer and analytical instrument software, including Empower, Mass Hunter, Chromeleon, Lab solutions and LIMS. + Develop efficient and selective analytical procedures and draft/review laboratory SOP’s. + Support equipment validation, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting. + Identify discrepancies, initiate, and investigate OOS/OOT results. + Write and revise standard quality control operation procedures/SOP’s. + Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills working in a highly dynamic, cross disciplinary environment. + Flexibility, ability and commitment to work on multitask projects to meet expected deadlines. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Must have a life science related degree, preferably a chemistry degree + Prefers experience in Pharmaceuticals, will interview candidates with a strong nutraceutical experience.
