Job Title: R&D Engineer, Systems Job Description The R&D Engineer will be part of an innovative incubator team working on New Product Introduction (NPI). They will be responsible for setting up a pilot manufacturing line, testing product integration, developing and testing tooling fixtures, troubleshooting equipment and product issues, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. Responsibilities + Set up and bring up the pilot manufacturing line for new products. + Develop and document manufacturing processes. + Train technicians on running the pilot manufacturing line. + Test sensors for a fluidic subsystem, including pumps and catheters, during the integration phase. + Troubleshoot generator, pump, and other capital equipment. + Use C/C++ to develop and tool test fixtures. + Document all processes and tests to ensure compliance with ISO standards. Essential Skills + Experience in a medical device environment, particularly with NPI. + Proficiency in C/C++ programming. + Strong troubleshooting skills for generators, pumps, and capital equipment. + Familiarity with integration testing and documentation processes. + Ability to develop and document manufacturing processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with fluidics is highly desirable. + Knowledge of Python programming. + Biomedical Degree. Work Environment You will work within a small team of 5-6 people in an incubator setting, despite being part of a large enterprise company. The role involves leading NPI development with a focus on one project at a time.
