R&d Engineer
Job Title: R&D EngineerJob Description Focus on coordinating and leading activities on comprehensive and technically challenging projects. Develop multiple concepts to satisfy customer needs, support viable solutions, and partner internally and externally to commercialize. Present reports summarizing technical analysis and business cases. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and staff. Analyze and recommend engineering or design solutions for technical challenges. Lead cross-functional teams with broad, less-defined objectives. Understand corporate identity and business needs as applied to projects. Responsibilities + Coordinate and lead comprehensive and technically challenging projects. + Develop multiple concepts to satisfy customer needs. + Support and commercialize viable solutions in partnership with internal and external teams. + Present technical analysis and business case reports to peer groups and management. + Communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external customers and staff. + Analyze and recommend engineering or design solutions for technical challenges. + Lead cross-functional teams with broader, less-defined initial objectives and scope. + Understand and apply corporate identity and business needs to projects. Essential Skills + Completed 4-year degree in Engineering or Physics. + Strong aptitude in process improvement, problem-solving, technical execution, and project management. + Experienced knowledge of lean, manufacturing, design, and quality systems. + 3-5 years of engineering or technical experience. + Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience as a design or project lead of a cross-functional engineering team. + Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software, including AutoCAD. + Experience working through a gated design review process. + Strong understanding of GD&T, drawing, and quality standards. + Demonstrated ability with dimensional engineering and tolerance/variation analysis. + Experience designing and developing new parts using injection molding, extrusion, machining, or die-cast processes. + Effective technical presentation and communication skills.
