Volt is immediately hiring for R&D Engineering Technician in Redmond, WA.

\r\n\r\n

As an R&D Engineering Technician you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPrototyping\r\n\t\r\n\t\tAssembly of prototype devices using microscope, tweezers, other existing tools.\r\n\t\tFabrication: operate 3d printer and other (proprietary) fab and assembly machines\r\n\t\tSTRETCH: Design and build simple tools and fixtures for prototype completion.\r\n\t\r\n\t\r\n\tTest/Inspection\r\n\t\r\n\t\tEvaluate new component designs with incoming inspection and other verification methods.\r\n\t\tEvaluate prototypes using engineering test methods\r\n\t\tSource, recommend, procure and quality new verification/test equipment\r\n\t\tEvaluate new assembly processes (e.g. capability study)\r\n\t\tExecute qualification, verification and validation protocols\r\n\t\tSTRETCH: develop new test/inspection methods from scratch\r\n\t\r\n\t\r\n\tDesign/development\r\n\t\r\n\t\tDevelop prototype-level assembly processes into manufacturing-level assembly processes (e.g. given a nominal process variable, identify and evaluate a process window); ensures processes are clear and exact\r\n\t\tSTRETCH: Original design or development of components, tools, and processes from spec/concept.\r\n\t\r\n\t\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a full time contingent opportunity.

Education/Training:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tMinimum 5 yrs work experience\r\n\tTwo year degree a plus\r\n\tPrior technical experience a plus\r\n\tPrior manufacturing/production experience a plus\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: $34.00 - $42.00 per hour

\r\n\r\n
