R&d Engineering Technician
**Job Title: R&D Engineering Technician** **Job Description** + **Pay Range:** $32.00-$34.00+/ per hour. + ( _depends on experience_ ) + ( _no shift differentia_ l). + **Shift Schedule:** Covering 1st & 2nd shifts + 7:00am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday) + Flexible hours + Occasional overtime due to supporting 3 projects. + **Opportunities for Growth:** + Opportunities for training and progression into an engineering role within 2-3 years. **Job Summary:** + Assist R&D engineers with tasks related to product/process development, scale-up, and scientific support for various projects. Duties will be focused on mixing and coating equipment. **Duties/Responsibilities:** + Assist with planning and execution of process development studies for feasibility, development/characterization (DOEs), and qualification of new products and processes using mixing and coating equipment. + Responsible for physical setup and assembly of complex mixers and coaters, estimating setup time to maintain schedule adherence. + Review specifications, R&D manufacturing instructions (MBRs), protocols, SOPs, and process development reports for accuracy. + Support and demonstrate compliance with Regulatory standards throughout all development activities. + Assist engineers with execution of development batches, equipment specifications, data collection/analysis, and report drafting. + Attend R&D project meetings. + Support Validation group with FMEA, Risk Assessments, and equipment qualification (IQ/OQ). + Maintain accurate and complete records of development activities. + Provide technical/scientific guidance to operations and internal teams when appropriate. + Support hand-off from process development and scale-up to validation and commercial manufacturing. + Participate in Design Reviews and contribute to the development of commercial mixing and coating processes for transdermal, dissolvable films, and other drug products. + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** + **_Required:_** + 1-3+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing process development and scale-up + High School Diploma or GED + Experience handling chemicals - solvents, can be hazardous. + Must be able to wear a respirator/mask + Strong analytical and problem solving skills + Strong technical writing & oral communication skills + Must be able to work in a clean room with hazardous materials. + **_Preferred:_** + 1-3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing process development and scale-up, preferably with transdermal and oral dissolvable thin film products, OR, experience with pressure sensitive adhesive mixing and coating. + Knowledgeable and experience with cGMP, cGLP, USP, and the regulatory requirements for pharmaceuticals **Job Type** This is a permanent position. **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Saint Paul, Minnesota. **Work Environment** Clean Room Environment **Benefits:** + 401(k) + 401(k) matching + Dental insurance + Flexible spending account + Health insurance + Life insurance + Paid time off + Tuition reimbursement + Vision insurance + Salary Adjustments + annual increases for meeting or exceeding job performance + 401K Match plan + 62.5% match of every dollar invested up to 6% of annual salary + Holiday Pay: + 1-5 years = 80 hours 6-11 years = 120 hours 12-25 years = 160 hours 25+ = 200 hours + Continuing education plan/tuition assistance: + The company will provide educational assistance in the form of reimbursement to eligible employees up to a maximum of $5,250 per calendar year, for coursework at a degree or certificate granting institution at either high school, vocational, college or graduate level **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
