**R&D Food Technologist** Manufacturing Orange County, CA, US Pay Rate Low: 65,000 | Pay Rate High: 85,000 + Added - 07/01/2025 Apply for Job _Our client is a growing Food Manufacturer seeking an R&D Food Technologist to join their team in Orange, CA!_ **Location:** Orange County, CA **Pay rate:** $65- $85k annually **Work Schedule** : M – F, 40 hrs., with occasional evenings or Saturdays if necessary **Key Responsibilities:** + Work closely with R&D, Production, and Sales teams to create and launch new products, transitioning them from concept to commercialization + Continuously improve the quality, processes, and cost-efficiency of existing products + Partner with R&D and Sales to generate innovative product ideas and develop samples that meet customer requests. Present samples to customers as needed + Evaluate existing formulas and provide suggestions to enhance quality and cost + Research market trends, ingredients, and new technologies to develop new product formulas and write white papers based on specific requests from the Director and Sales team + Thoroughly document recipe development results, cooking yields, and descriptive qualities + Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) + Collaborate with technical and commercial teams across procurement, sales, quality, technical services, marketing, and distribution **Qualifications:** + Strong understanding of food safety regulations, including HACCP and GMP + Knowledge of food production, manufacturing, restaurant operations, and distribution + Ability to understand complex technical topics and specialized information + Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships across all levels of management, employees, customers, and vendors + Proficiency in both oral and written communication, including technical topics and general correspondence + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook INDBH \#LI-DNP We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
