Your mission, roles and responsibilities

What's the VIE Forvia Program all about?
The VIE Program of Forvia is an international young graduate program, which enables young graduates native from the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28 to work for one of our subsidiary around the world!

What will be your main missions?

Our team is looking for a R&D Industrial Design VIE to be based at its headquarter at  Shanghai, China.

Your main missions will be to 

Studio Engineering Activities (Locally supported)
o    Provide hands-on engineering support for design development and innovation activities.
o    Collaborate closely with industrial designers to translate concepts for collaboration with engineering teams.
o    Support optimize local studio workflows to ensure seamless collaboration
o    Maintain & support digital studio tools and equipment 
PQ and benchmark Database Management (Local & Global)
o    Support us in developing, maintain, and optimize our  databases for managing project info in concept definition phase and for PQ and value distribution exercises
o    Support global teams by contributing to the standardization and improvement of database systems and documentation processes.
Digital Tools and Computational Design (Local & Global)
o    Focus on computational design methods to enhance efficiency, new innovative product development and creativity in the design process.
o    Support the local CGI related activities with a strong link to the Pune digital expert team 
o    Experience in computational design workflows and algorithmic modeling is highly desirable.
 

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Minimum education level: Degree in Engineering, Industrial design or mixed subjects. 
Experience:
o    Successful internships in the automotive industry 
o    Demonstrated ability to work within interdisciplinary and multicultural teams.
o    Demonstrated ability to mix engineering capabilities with creative/ design thinking

Skills and competencies
o    Knowledge of all key digital tools used in industrial design (styling) processes in car industry with high interest to explore new opportunities 
o    Basic understanding of computational design tools 
o    Entrepreneurial mindset & open mind to work in between different cultures  
o    Passionate about innovation, design, and engineering excellence.
o    Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
