_Catalyst Technologies (CT) is a market leader in the syngas value chain. It develops and supplies high-value, specialty process technology and catalysts for chemicals and fuels processing to enable our customers to operate efficiently, profitably and sustainably. With CT at the forefront of the transition to sustainable chemicals and fuels, the transition to net zero is creating exciting new opportunities in this sector._
Operation and maintenance of small-scale reaction rigs and analytical equipment. Performing catalyst characterization. Data processing, organization, and reporting.
**Your responsibilities:**
+ Maintain full compliance with all aspects of JM EHS policies
+ Operate and maintain various testing equipment
+ Run catalyst deactivation procedures to prepare samples for analyses
+ Login and organize samples from various customers, Pilot Plant, and Manufacturing
+ Submit samples for QC lab analysis
+ Utilize Labware, notebooks, and MS office to organize work, properly record experimental details, and report results
+ Data processing as needed
+ Work well in a team environment
+ Run multiple analyses (multi-tasking) to increase efficiency
+ Get cross-trained on variety of lab equipment
+ Ensure data quality and accuracy
+ Drive EHS improvement plans and practice good housekeeping
+ Actively participate in safety meetings, risk assessment evaluations, and other lab initiatives
+ Maintains an orderly, well stocked lab by proactively ordering lab supplies and parts
+ Perform other duties as requested by lab supervisor / manager
**Requirements for the role:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering
+ 1-2 years of lab experience preferred
+ Experience with analytical equipment operation and maintenance (for example GC, MS, TGA, BET, XRF, CHN, XRD, etc.)
+ Experience with Swagelok products and plumbing preferred
+ Knowledge of chemistry, inorganic and organic
+ General knowledge of lab procedures and equipment
+ Knowledge of MS Office
+ Demonstrated team player capabilities
+ Written and verbal communication skills
+ Self-motivated
+ Experiment planning and execution
+ Ability to multi-task
+ Knowledge regarding EHS requirements and best practices
+ Ability to physically wear and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: gloves, coveralls, hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, and goggles
