Catalyst Technologies (CT) is a market leader in the syngas value chain. It develops and supplies high-value, specialty process technology and catalysts for chemicals and fuels processing to enable our customers to operate efficiently, profitably and sustainably. With CT at the forefront of the transition to sustainable chemicals and fuels, the transition to net zero is creating exciting new opportunities in this sector.
Operation and maintenance of small-scale reaction rigs and analytical equipment. Performing catalyst characterization. Data processing, organization, and reporting.
Your responsibilities:Maintain full compliance with all aspects of JM EHS policiesOperate and maintain various testing equipmentRun catalyst deactivation procedures to prepare samples for analysesLogin and organize samples from various customers, Pilot Plant, and ManufacturingSubmit samples for QC lab analysisUtilize Labware, notebooks, and MS office to organize work, properly record experimental details, and report resultsData processing as neededWork well in a team environmentRun multiple analyses (multi-tasking) to increase efficiencyGet cross-trained on variety of lab equipmentEnsure data quality and accuracyDrive EHS improvement plans and practice good housekeepingActively participate in safety meetings, risk assessment evaluations, and other lab initiativesMaintains an orderly, well stocked lab by proactively ordering lab supplies and partsPerform other duties as requested by lab supervisor / managerRequirements for the role:Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering1-2 years of lab experience preferredExperience with analytical equipment operation and maintenance (for example GC, MS, TGA, BET, XRF, CHN, XRD, etc.)Experience with Swagelok products and plumbing preferredKnowledge of chemistry, inorganic and organicGeneral knowledge of lab procedures and equipmentKnowledge of MS OfficeDemonstrated team player capabilitiesWritten and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivatedExperiment planning and executionAbility to multi-taskKnowledge regarding EHS requirements and best practicesAbility to physically wear and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: gloves, coveralls, hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, and gogglesHow you will be rewarded:We offer competitive compensation and JM Elements benefits package including bonus, excellent pension contributions and 20 days annual leave (varies for shift- based roles).
