Honeywell’s ACST team is seeking an R&D Machinist for our Golden Valley, MN location.   

\n

Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to develop, implement and maintain method and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Using your technical expertise, you will create programs, manufacturing instructions, and identify/design tooling for new or existing product lines.

The annual base salary or/ hourly pay range for this position is ($59,400.00 - $74,300.00). Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

\n\nCreating new components from different levels of input (drawings; sketches; ideas)\nPerform rapid prototyping in collaboration with internal, engineering customers using variety of materials\nOperate different levels of machine shop equipment from manual to programming numerical controlled\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize fabrication processes\nFollow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment\n\n\nConduct inspections, testing, and quality checks to ensure compliance with standards\nMaintain accurate documentation of work performed\n\n

US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Must be a U.S. Citizen

\n

 

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\n6+ years machining experience with CNC programming  \nHigh school diploma or GED\nU.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing.\n\n\nDemonstrated ability to cross train and learn multiple processes\n\n

WE VALUE

\n\n2-year technical degree / certification in a machining program\nStrong understanding and application of CNC programming and set-up experience (Mastercam, Haas, Okuma, Milltronics)\nExperience fabricating prototype or production fixtures and tooling\nProficiency with manual lathe and mill\nExperience with programs such as Soildworks and Creo Parametric\nWorking Knowledge of other various other fabrication machines such as: EDM, laser cutting, CNC benders, 3D printing\nAbility to review a design for manufacturability and provide feedback with proposed solutions\n\n
