Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Performs tasks related to wafer inspection and characterization in accordance with instructions from the R&D Team. These tasks include cleaning and inspection of wafers, running metrology tools for wafer surface and defect characterization. Monitors, collects and reports data from several advanced characterization and metrology tools, participates in gauge R&R exercises, performs basic data analysis under the guidance of engineers. Maintains accurate records in accordance with procedures. Participates in the maintenance of metrology equipment. Participates in troubleshooting of equipment, identifies causes and participates in in-house equipment repairs. Supports inventories of spare parts and materials. Keeps materials and work areas organized and clean. Supports the development and evolution of operating procedures and assists in training Participates in FMEA activities. Follows all health, safety, environmental and ergonomic requirements, regulations and proceduresEducation & Experience
Associates Degree or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or science discipline is desirable. Hands-on experience in a technical field Exposure to a technological process, equipment maintenance, measurements and data collection are desirable Computer literate. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Email and Internet.Skills
Must be technically inclined with good mechanical skills. Must be well organized and able to perform several tasks in parallel. Must be computer-literate to operate computer-controlled equipment and make data entry. Ability to communicate well ITAR compliance requirement: Individual must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).Working Conditions
Normal working hour 9-5; however, must be prepared to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends if needed, as a part of R&D work schedule.
