Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct electrical and optical simulations to design and optimize fiber optic transceivers using industry-standard tools, such as ADS, CST, Optsim, Zmax, Fred, HFSS, and CrossLight. Develop and implement simulation models and algorithms using for example Python or C for transceiver design, verification, and optimization. Perform link and component simulations, including device-level simulations, to ensure compatibility and performance of transceivers for 200G and 400G per lane systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of electrical and optical designs. Verify the simulation results by designing experiments and performing testing of high-speed optical and electrical components. Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance for high-speed fiber optic transceivers. Participate in R&D efforts to push the boundaries of high-speed optical communication technologies. Contribute to product development documentation, including design specifications, test protocols, and reports.Education & Experience
Minimum 9 yr. experience with Bachelors Degree Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related fields Strong experience with electrical and optical simulations tools (ADS, CST, Optsim, Zmax, Fred, HFSS, or similar) Hands on experience in electro-optical lab testing, including testing high-speed optical and electrical components Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C for simulation and algorithm development.Skills
Strong understanding of high-speed component design and testing for 200G/400G systems. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize designs. Knowledge of the latest industry trends and standards in high-speed optical communication.Working Conditions
