R&D New Product Development Manager - Denver, CO

Job Description:

Hologic's Surgical facility in Louisville, CO, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager in R&D to join our growing enterprise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and developing cohesive teams and overseeing multiple concurrent projects. This role requires versatility, flexibility, and the ability to exceed goals successfully and swiftly by utilizing strategic agility and effective negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Develop and lead teams to resolve crucial issues and unique conditions. Hire, onboard, and train engineering personnel. Project Oversight: Supervise and support programs of high complexity and scope, ensuring they are properly resourced to achieve project and business objectives. Product Development: Develop and implement product development plans for new product concepts, following products through to manufacturing. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Work closely with Quality to ensure ongoing compliance with the Quality Management System and ensure products meet customer requirements as defined by sales and marketing. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally to develop methods and processes that facilitate decisions and improve results. Represent the organization and maintain liaison with related organizations. Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical specialist, applying advanced concepts, principles, and methods to the organization. Assist upper-level management as a technical advisor. Communication: Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams to drive the best decisions for the business. Run department and staff meetings to ensure projects are on track and teams have the proper resources.

Technical and Managerial Skills:

Demonstrable skills in managing people and interactions. Excellent multi-tasking, writing, and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a high-paced, rapidly changing environment. Strong desire to be part of a dynamic, growing, and mission-driven company. Professional interaction skills.

Qualifications:

Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of work experience in the medical device or other regulated industry, with research and development experience. Proven ability to supervise, develop, and provide work direction to engineering staff. Experience in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating multiple major projects.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $119,700.00 to $199,400 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
