Lunaphore is now part of the Spatial Biology Division of Bio-Techne. Lunaphore provides solutions based on a groundbreaking chip technology that can extract spatial proteomic and transcriptomic data from tumors and other tissues, transforming any assay into multiplex spatial biology with an intuitive approach.

To support our future growth, we are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic R&D intern to join our optics team! 

Your Missions 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Optical Engineer Intern to join our Lunaphore team at Tolochenaz. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly on the next-generation design of our COMET microscope systems. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in developing advanced optical systems that will enhance the performance and capabilities of our products. 

Key Responsibilities 

Collaborate closely with the Optics Team on the design and development of next-generation fluorescence microscope systems for COMET. 

Conduct experiments and tests to validate optical designs and improve system performance. 

Contribute to the integration of optical components with mechanical and electronic systems. 

Document design processes, test results, and provide detailed reports on findings. 

Stay up to date with the latest advances in optical engineering and microscopy technologies. 

Qualifications 

Currently pursuing a degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. 

Strong understanding of optical principles and technologies. 

Experience with image analysis software such as ImageJ is a plus. 

Hands-on experience with optical setup, alignment, and testing. 

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 

Fluent in French and English.
