Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated R&D Scientist to join our dynamic team in Golden Valley, MN. This is an exciting opportunity for entry-senior level candidates with a strong background in food science and R&D. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for innovation and a collaborative spirit to help drive the development of new food products and processes. This position offers flexible hours, with the option for full-time or part-time work, depending on the candidate's preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and contribute to the development of new food products, formulations, and processes from concept to commercialization.Conduct research and testing to improve existing products and ensure they meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, and quality assurance to ensure products meet consumer demands and company goals.Analyze and interpret data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and scientific advancements to apply to R&D initiatives.Prepare and present findings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and safety standards in product development and testing.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science or other life sciences field.2+ years of experience in R&D, preferably within the food industry.Proven experience in product development, formulation, and process improvement.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Familiarity with industry regulations, quality control, and food safety standards.Experience with food testing and laboratory equipment is a plus.
